Kano Govt Declares 11-Day Eid-el-Kabir Break for Schools
The Kano State Government has declared a mid-term break for all primary and secondary schools in the state ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, the holiday will begin on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and schools are expected to resume on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The directive covers both day and boarding schools. Parents of boarding students are advised to pick up their children early on June 4.
The ministry clarified that the break aligns with the 2024/2025 academic calendar, which remains unchanged. All academic and holiday schedules will be strictly followed.
Commissioner of Education, Ali Makoda, urged parents to ensure that students return on time after the holiday for a smooth continuation of the term.
“We wish our students and pupils a peaceful and successful Sallah break,” he added.
