MOST FEARLESS JOURNALIST IN NIGERIA FROM ABEOKUTA.

MOST FEARLESS JOURNALIST IN NIGERIA FROM ABEOKUTA.

Kola Olawuyi is a name that cannot be forgotten in a hurry…

If you were growing up in the early 2000s in the South West...

 especially in Abeokuta...

there is no way you wouldn’t have known him.

Kolawole Olawuyi popularly known as Kola Olawuyi....

was one of Nigeria’s most fearless and unconventional journalists.

He was especially known for covering mysterious, spiritual, and hidden societal issues across the Southwest,

including Abeokuta.

He became famous in the early 1990s after creating a unique radio program called Iriri Aye.

It focused on real-life stories...

They explored strange, shocking, and sometimes frightening sides of society that many people preferred to avoid.

Later, he expanded his work into television with a program called Nkan Nbe,

which aired on stations like Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC)

 in Abeokuta,

Airing both on LTV and Galaxy TV.

This move brought his work closer to the people,

making his stories even more powerful and widely followed.

Unlike regular journalists,

Kola Olawuyi built his reputation on investigating mystery-related issues.

He focused on things many people feared to even mention, r!tual k!ll!ngs, 0ccult practices,

 secret soc!eties,

 f@ke pastors,

 spiritual man!pulation,

 k!dnappers,

and hidden cr!me networks.

I remember one of the cases he covered..

about a woman who called herself “Malaica” and believed she was God.

a woman who claimed she had lived on earth for thousands of years.

  Till today, I still wondered..

where is that woman now?

I wish one of today’s content creators could trace her and interview her again,

so we can know her present state.

Kola Olawuyi didn’t just talk about these things, he investigated them deeply.

He went further than most people would dare and exposed hidden truths,

 bringing them into the open.

I also cannot forget one of the cases he aired....

about how people’s passport photographs were said to have been found inside the stomach of a sn@ke.

It was one of those stories that spread fear quickly because no one could explain it.

But Kola stepped in...

What was once a mystery was uncovered.

When he asked the herbalist involved to demonstrate how the passport photographs got into the sn@ke stomach...

the man agreed to perform it live.

That moment revealed everything.

It turned out the entire act was staged.

The herbalist or prophet had planted the pictures inside the sn@ke beforehand to prove a false power and push a fake prophecies.

Just like that, fear turned into understanding.

Seriously Kolawole Olawuyi

programs were known for being intense,

emotional, and sometimes frightening.

Many Nigerians would gather around their radios or televisions just to follow his stories.

In places like Abeokuta, his shows became part of everyday life.

Because of the nature of his work,

Kola Olawuyi became a controversial figure.

Some people admired his courage and saw him as a voice of truth.

Others believed he had supernatural powers himself.

Many even accused him of being involved in occult practices.....

claims he strongly denied.

He also investigated powerful religious figures....

including controversial pastors.

This made his work even more sensitive,

 more dangerous, and more unpredictable.

Kola Olawuyi d!ed on March 3, 2007, at the age of 44.

His de@th shocked many Nigerians, especially his followers in Abeokuta and beyond.

Up till today, the cause of his de@th remains unclear.

Some say it was !llness.

Others believe it was connected to the last case he was investigating before his de@th.

It was said that he was working on "Ajale"

an  underground network linked to r!tual activities and k!llings,

something many believed involved powerful and shady politicians.

And then… just like that… he was g0ne.

Kola Olawuyi spent his life chasing myster!es,

exp0sing secrets, and bringing h!dden truths to light.

But in the end,

his own de@th became one of the greatest myster!es of all.
