Naira Misuse: EFCC Arrests Edo Government Official, Kelly Okungbowa after he sprayed money on dancers at a bar.
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Benin Zonal Directorate, arrested Kelly Okungbowa, also known as Ebo Stone, on Monday, March 17, 2025, over alleged naira ab¥se.
Okungbowa, who was recently suspended as the coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team (PSRT), was taken into custody after a viral video showed him spraying and mutilating naira notes at a bar on March 9, 2025.
The EFCC confirmed that he will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
