Suspected terr%rists have att@cked Ayegunle Bunu community in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State in the early hours of Monday, killing one resident and abd¥cting more than 30 people.
The att@ck reportedly occurred around 2:25 a.m. on June 1, 2026.
During the raid, one person was confirmed de+d while another sustained inj¥ries. Local reports also indicated that two residents of the community, a man and a woman, were among those kidn@pped by the att@ckers.

Also, according to local outlet Egbe Mekun Parrot, “two residents of Ayegunle Bunu, a man and a woman, were among those abd¥cted by the att@ckers.”
The att@ckers were also said to have intercepted a commercial bus passing through the area, abd¥cting passengers on board.
The g+nmen reportedly operated for several minutes without resistance before escaping with the victims to an unknown location.
The incident has raised fresh concerns among residents over worsening insecurity in Kogi State and along roads linking communities to neighbouring Kwara State.
