Controversial rapper, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has counter sued the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for declaring him wanted over alleged rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

 Controversial rapper, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has counter sued the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for declaring him wanted over alleged rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

Okoye, in a suit filed on July 9, 2025, at the Federal High Court, Abuja, is seeking N3bn in damages; N1bn general and N2bn punitive. He also wants a perpetual injunction stopping the agency from acting on its June 27 “Wanted” notice.

NAPTIP had declared him wanted after he failed to honour the agency’s invitation, bodering on the claims he made in a video posted on his Instagram page in which he alleged that he had carnal knowledge of a minor in a hotel.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency reportedly referred the matter to NAPTIP for investigation when the clip drew public outrage.
