Tinubu Helped My Daughter Get a Job After NYSC – Buba Galadima
Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and longtime critic of the APC, has praised President Bola Tinubu for helping his daughter secure a federal job shortly after completing her NYSC.
Galadima, a close ally of NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, made the revelation during a recent interview on AIT. He recalled how one of his daughters, a medical doctor, called Tinubu after finding his number on Galadima’s phone.
“She looked through my phone, saw the President’s number, and called him. He picked, thinking it was me,” Galadima said. “They told him they were my children and needed help. One of them, who just finished NYSC, told him she wanted a job at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). He immediately called the head of the commission, Gbenga Komolafe, and told him to give her a job.”
He said his daughter later traveled to Mecca to thank God and President Tinubu. “That’s why she went to Mecca—to thank God and Mr. President,” he added.
Galadima also drew a comparison with former President Muhammadu Buhari, under whom he worked for over a decade. According to him, despite his loyalty, Buhari didn’t offer similar support.
“I worked for Buhari for 13 years. My daughter worked in his government for four years, yet he instructed that she should not be paid. Let them bring any voucher showing she was paid,” Galadima alleged.
The disclosure has stirred public interest, given Galadima’s opposition ties and previous criticism of the APC administration.
