Police arrest two suspects in connection with the abd¥ction of ex-AIG Odumosu’s wife, recover N2.2M ransom
Police operatives in Lagos State have arrested two additional suspects linked to the kidn+pping of Mrs. Folashade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu.
It was gathered that during the operation, the police recovered N2.25 million in cash, two locally fabricated rifles, and 11 live cartridges.
The suspects, identified as Agbojule Smart, 27, and Keleke Michael, 30, were arrested on Friday morning, January 24, while attempting to flee Lagos State.
Force spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement said: “Upon interrogation, they confessed to their crime; belonging to a gang of 4, 2 of whom have been neutralized previously.
Recovered from the suspects upon their arrest were the sum of N2,250,000 which was part of the requested ransom, 2 locally fabricated rifles, and 11 live cartridges.”
Police operatives rescued mrs. Odumosu from her abductors on Thursday. The police said they neutralised some of the kidn+ppers and recovered the ransom paid.
